The Loudoun Valley HomeGrown Markets Association sponsors five Farmers Markets in Loudoun County from May through October, along with a Winter Farmers Market in Leesburg. These are HomeGrown, Producer Only Markets meaning that the people selling you the food are the people who grow the food. They stand behind their products 100%. If an item you purchased was not fresh or was damaged in some way they will replace it or refund you for your purchase.
By buying your fruits, vegetables, meats and eggs at the Farmers Markets you are supporting local agriculture, as all the vendors are local to this area. That means you are also getting the very freshest produce possible as many crops are picked and brought to market within 24 hours. The Summer Market season begins the first weekend in May and continues through the last week in October. There will be five market locations in Loudoun County for the 2010 season, hours of operation vary with each market. The Leesburg Winter Market starts the first weekend in November.
